"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures." - James 1:17-18

Prayer Requests

Prelude Meditation Text: "If anyone teaches a different doctrine and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that accords with godliness, he is puffed up with conceit and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy craving for controversy and for quarrels about words, which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, and constant friction among people who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain." - 1 Timothy 6:3-5

Unison Call to Worship:  Both young men and maidens; old men and children, let them praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven and He has exalted the horn of His people. The praise of all His saints of the children of Israel, a people near to him. Psalm 148:12-13,14

Prayer of Invocation

Hymn #224:  "Go Tell it On the Mountain"

Unison Prayer of Confession:  Be gracious to me, O God, according to Your loving kindness; according to the greatness of Your compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against You, You only, I have sinned, and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You are justified when You speak, and blameless when You judge. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me...Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow...Hide Your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and sustain me with a willing spirit. In Jesus Christ my sacrifice, I ask. Amen.
